Good Moral Character Checklist

Use this checklist to determine the types of supporting evidence you can file with your petition to prove this criteria. You do not need to file all of these items with your petition to prove this criteria; one of these two will be sufficient. 

  • Police clearance or a state-issued background check from each locality where you have lived for six months or more in the past three years; and 
  • Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) record, if any.
